WHAT WE DO

Helping communities to build their mobility ecosystems

Modern Mobility is developing digital and dynamic mobility systems intended to create a mobility ecosystem for communities.

WHO CAN WE HELP

|  GOVERNMENTS
(Especially countries where transport solutions lack in rural areas )

…..with the main question of how to rearrange country public transport in rural areas.

|  LOCAL GOVERNMENTS
(Especially who have big rural and/or suburban areas)

…..with the main question of how to get people moving where regular public transport today can not make it.

|  TRANSIT OPERATORS
(Bus and train companies)

…..with the main question how to rise people traveling demand from the rural and/or suburban areas where it is difficult to get people to the bus or train.

ACTIVE PROJECTS

VEDAS is Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) platform that is serving different target groups with one tool:

  • Regular transport

  • Student transport

  • Social transport

  • Last mile connection (transport of people living in sparsely populated areas to bus stops)

Allows transport organizers to:

  • Combine transport for different target groups - vehicles are used as optimally as possible to avoid “empty kilometers”

  • Introduce different benefits personally according to their needs

  • An overview of who drove where and when - transport management planning

VEDAS software enables:

  • For the operator - launching and providing the demand transport service;

  • For the customer - ordering trips by phone through the dispatcher or ordering transport through the customer application;

  • For the dispatcher - registration of passengers and drivers in the system and their administration, entry of orders, preparation of driving circuits for drivers, and overview of the status of the fulfillment of orders;

  • For drivers - the management of the driving circles assigned to them by the dispatcher or through the user’s orders (viewing driving tasks, starting, ending, interrupting the execution of orders).

What is Demand Responsive Transport (DRT)? It is a mode of transport that allows people to get around in places or times that are not covered by regular bus services. It is an innovative solution in transportation, where a person no longer depends on fixed bus schedules but can make their journeys according to need, place, and time.

 „Norway Grants „Green ICT“ programme“

The aim of the Green ICT project is to develop an environmentally friendly demand-based mobility platform (VEDAS) that is accompanied with a smart bus stop. The project solves the problem of transport managers and residents in sparsely populated areas, where the availability of public transport and services is not in line with the needs of the people in the area and is carbon intensive. With the help of the Green ICT project it is possible to further develop the demand-driven transport platform and smart bus stop prototype, making it possible to export both products to Scandinavian markets.
